My URL www. DogsCatsandpets-jasha reminds me of an idiom 'It's raining cats and dogs'.Not all people keep pets.Some have their preferences.Some are dog lovers, some cat lovers,some keep birds and reptiles such as snakes crocodiles etc.People keep pets for number of reasons.
some own pets they like animals and like watching their behavior.Many childless couples and senior citizens keep pets to fill a void.People tend to feel less lonely when they have their pets around.Even some children love keeping cats, dogs and birds as their pets at home.Pets give undemanding companionship and unconditional love.
On the other hand some keep animals for commercial purposes.It reminds me of the 'bull fight' in India and the "dog fight"in Afghanistan which I watched recently on a TV show.The owner of the winner would get a couple of thousands of dollars.In my opinion, it's better to avoid torturing and exploiting animals this way.
